Science Quiz:

Eligibility: Open for all(School students,UG, PG, PhD/ Post-Doc/JR/SR/Faculty)

Topic for Science Quiz:Based on theme of the science festival (which would be given bye DST)

Evaluation criteria: The quiz competition will be conducted in three rounds: First Prelims Round: Candidates will be shortlisted on the bases of MCQ test Second Qualification Round:  Total sixteen candidates will be selected Third Final Round: Best one team (four candidate in a team) will be selected for awards& Prizes 

Idea of Young India (Biomedical Sciences)

Eligibility: 9 to 12 standard students, undergraduates and postgraduate students (Age should be less than 25 years).

Topic for Idea of Young India:Scientific/Innovative Ideas related to biomedical sciences (life science/health science/pharmaceutical sciences/biomedical engineering/nursing etc.).

Evaluation criteria: Best three Innovative Ideas will be selected by jury members for awards and prizes.Best 4-10thInnovative Ideas will be selected for appreciation certificate and mementos.

Science Exhibition

Eligibility:9 to 12 standard students, undergraduate and postgraduate student (Age should be less than 25 years).

Topics for science exhibition:Scientific/Innovative Models related to biomedical sciences (life science/health science/pharmaceutical sciences/biomedical engineering/nursing etc.).

Evaluation criteria: Best three models will be selected by jury members for awards and prizes.Best 4-10th models will be selected for appreciation certificate and mementos.

Scientific Presentations

Eligibility:UG, PG, PhD Scholars/ Post-Doc/JR/SR/Faculty

Topics for oral and poster presentations Research in Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Innovation & Patents   

Evaluation criteria: Best three oral, and posters presentations will be selected by jury members for awards and prizes in Oral and poster category.

Open House: Extempore speech (Open to all)

Topics for Extempore speech

An extempore speech is an impromptu speech, which the candidate is required to make on a topic given there and then.

Evaluation criteria: Three minutes will be allotted to each speaker. Best three speakers will be selected on the following: – Ability to think off the feet, Analysis of the topic and identification of the issue to be addressed, Idea generation, Prioritization and sequencing to display logical thinking, Communication skills, Overall presentation skills.
